Why Penang?
Penang is more than a conference destination. It is an experience. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008, George Town's streets tell the story of a multicultural trading port where Malay, Chinese, Indian, and European influences converge. Its vibrant street art, heritage architecture, and world-renowned cuisine reflect the very spirit of cultural integration that defines modern pharmacy practice. As Malaysia's premier education and healthcare hub, Penang is home to world-class research institutions, a robust pharmaceutical manufacturing sector and a dynamic clinical community, making it the ideal setting for the 26th ACCP.

Location
The Wembley St Giles Hotel is situated in the heart of George Town, Penang - a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Located along Jalan Magazine, the venue sits directly across from the iconic KOMTAR tower and 1st Avenue Mall, offering immediate access to central dining, shopping, and commercial districts.

Getting There
There are several ways to get to the conference venue:

By Air (Penang International Airport - PEN):

  • Distance: ~16 km (10 miles) south of the hotel.
  • E-Hailing / Taxi: The most convenient option for international delegates. E-hailing apps like Grab are widely used in Penang. Pickup zones are located right outside the Arrivals terminal. Travel time is approximately 30–45 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Public Bus: Rapid Penang Bus 401 or 401E operates from the airport to the Central Komtar Bus Terminal (located a short 3-minute walk from the venue). Travel time is approximately 50–60 minutes.

By Train / Ferry (from Kuala Lumpur / Mainland Malaysia):

  • Take the ETS (Electric Train Service) to Butterworth Station.
  • From Butterworth, take the short 10-minute passenger ferry across to the Penang Raja Tun Uda Ferry Terminal in George Town.
